About Us Barkes Corner Veterinary Clinic is a spacious, well equipped and purpose built veterinary hospital. We have a complete range of diagnostic, surgical and dental equipment, digital X-ray (including dental), ultrasound and a full laboratory with stem cell and blood bank capabilities. Double prep and surgical rooms are supplied by three consult rooms, in turn feeding from reception and hospital areas, individualised for cats and dogs. The Opportunity: This position covers all aspects of veterinary nursing, from assisting with a wide surgical case load, blood sampling and in house pathology, cannula placement, to animal handling and kennel cleaning. There is also a component of reception duties including answering client enquiries over the phone, updating patient records, making appointments and discharge of patients. The roster consists of 7 hr shifts (am or pm) across 5 days and 1 in every 3 Saturday mornings 9-12pm.
